Product Description:

AURAMIX 1600 is a blended polycarboxylate based superplasticizer developed particularly for use in concrete to give extended slump retention and high strength development of normal grade concrete mixes.

Usage:

AURAMIX 1600 is a high range water reducer that provides long workability times, so it is used for the following applications:

Production of site mixed
During normal weather production of concrete
Concrete with low water / cement ratio
Concrete placement in congested steel reinforcement
Self-compacting concrete
Slim elements requiring a high standard of sur-face finish
High performance / high strength concrete
Extended Distance and slump retention

AURAMIX 1600 is acts by surface absorption on the cement particles producing steric hindrance as well as electrostatic repulsion between cement particles which results in higher dispersion, flow, and retention.

Consumption / Dosage:

Depending on the expected concrete performance, it is used at a rate of:

For plastic concrete: 0,25 to 0.70 % by weight of binder
For Self compacting concrete: 0.70 to 1.2% by weight of binder.

When adjusting the consistency, high water retarding feature of the additive must be taken into account and excessive water addition to the mixture must be prevented.
